Community Groups

We want you to believe and belong. Community Groups are comprised of 15-20 people who walk together, share life together, and grow in Christ together.

FAQ

1. How often do Community Groups meet?

Community groups usually meet weekly but some meet biweekly.

2. Who leads these groups?

Our Community Groups are led by Community Group Leaders who have gone through assessment and training with Plaza.

3. Are Community Groups coed?

Yes! As well as multi-ethnic and multi-generational.

4. How big will each group be?

Most of our community groups are around 15 people.

5. What content will Community groups use?

Groups discuss the previous Sunday’s sermon and how to apply it to their lives. Since sermons are preached verse by verse, this allows us to be shaped by Scripture.

6. What about my kids?

We encourage each group to create a plan for childcare. Some community groups have couples take turns each week providing childcare while other groups contribute financially to provide 3rd party babysitting each week.

7. Where do Community Groups meet?

Usually in homes, but also in coffee shops, restaurants, and parks. If you would like to apply to be a host home, click HERE to fill out an application. Someone from our staff will contact you to discuss next steps.

8. How do I join a Community Group?

There are three ways to join a Community Group:

  1. You can sign up for one at the conclusion of The Weekender (our new membership class).

  2. You can be personally invited to a community group by a friend, coworker, or neighbor. If you know someone in a Community Group, ask if there is still room in their group for one more!

  3. You can fill out a Community Group Request form below.

9. I’m already in a Community Group. What else can I do to grow deeper in my faith?

Join a D-group! D-Groups are gender specific groups of 3-4 people who get together regularly for the purpose of growing as disciple-making disciples. Together you will work through helpful content on spiritual formation, bible fluency, spiritual design, evangelism, relationships, understanding church, and leadership. Our goal is that these D-Groups will help you grow as a disciple of Jesus and equip you to make disciples of others.
